Change out fogged dual-pane window for a Realtor selling the house. The condensation inside the panes was discovered during a home inspection.
This dual pane glass is the operable or sliding part of a window. The window opens sideways and is located above the shower in a bathroom upstairs. The dual-pane unit became fogged due to water between the panes. Sometimes referred to as failed dual-pane glass.
While dual-pane windows are far superior to simple pane window glass for energy efficiency, sound, and insulation, they can some times fail. Because dual-panes are sealed thermal units, to fax them requires replacing both panes of glass or the entire unit. This project was measured on a Friday and installed on Tuesday. Typically, the lead time for glass repair or glass replacement is one to two business days.
